College has us busy and without kitchens, well, mostly…

Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting
So, I was in a mood. A mood to make frosting, that is. However, I was feeling extremely lazy/guilty because I had government to study for (federalism, anyone?), so I used a box of devil’s food cupcake mix. I don’t know what makes cupcake mix any different from normal cake mix, other than it comes with a smaller amount in it, but I won’t complain. I’d probably toss all that...

Basic Buttercream Frosting
I use this recipe. A lot.
Ingredients:
1/4 C Shortening
1/4 C. Butter (softened)
1/2 tsp. Extract
1 1/4 C. Confectioners Sugar
1 Tbsp liquid of choice (generally milk)
Directions
